12 Paid Holidays for County Employees in 2011

11/16/10 The Marshall County Commissioners approve the 2011 Holiday Schedule during their meeting Monday morning.  Next year county employees will have twelve (12) paid holidays.  This is the same amount that they had for 2010.

The commissioners have removed Columbus Day from the holiday schedule but did keep Primary Election Day and Election Day.  The County will move Lincoln’s Birthday to the day after Thanksgiving and Washington’s Birthday to Friday, December 23rd.

This is a complete listing of the 2011 Paid Holidays for County employees:

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY – MONDAY, JANUARY 17

GOOD FRIDAY – FRIDAY – APRIL 22

PRIMARY ELECTION – TUESDAY – MAY 3

MEMORIAL DAY – MONDAY – MAY 30

INDEPENDENCE DAY – MONDAY – JULY 4

LABOR DAY – MONDAY – SEPTEMBER 5

ELECTION DAY – TUESDAY – NOVEMBER 8

VETERAN’S DAY – FRIDAY – NOVEMBER 11

THANKSGIVING DAY – THURSDAY – NOVEMBER 24

LINCOLN’S BIRTHDAY – FRIDAY – NOVEMBER 25

WASHINGTON’S BIRTH DAY – FRIDAY – DECEMBER 23

CHRISTMAS DAY – MONDAY– DECEMBER 26

The County Commissioners also approved the 2011 meeting schedule and the pay schedule.
