Lady Chargers Drop Conference Heartbreaker
PLYMOUTH, INDIANA – The Ancilla College volleyball team went five games with Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference foe Lansing Community College (10-9, 3-1 MCCAA), but were unable to come up with a victory, losing 23-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-11, 15-10.
Lauren Krempec and Brandy Sechrist both compiled with double-digit kill totals, finishing with 12 and 10 respectively. On the defensive side of the net, Jordan Hopper had a team high 3.5 blocks, followed by 2.5 from Demi Schrader, who led the team with 36 assists. Miranda Hammons and Krempec were co-leaders with 17 digs each.
Ancilla (5-13, 0-4 MCCAA) travels to NJCAA Honorable Mention Muskegon Community College (15-5, 1-2 MCCAA) on Thursday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. They return home on Tuesday, September 28 for a match against Jackson Community College (4-10, 1-2 MCCAA). Ancilla plays their home matches in the Charger Arena at the LifePlex of Plymouth, Indiana.
