Neighborhood Center Acccpeting Applications for Christmas Assistance

11/11/10 The Marshall County Neighborhood Center is running at full speed gearing up for the upcoming holiday season.  They have taken applications in partnership with Leadership Marshall County and during the registration at the Plymouth Community Schools. If you missed the opportunities to sign up and are in need there is still time for seek Christmas assistance.

Christmas applications are being taken during normal business hours at the Neighborhood Center at 402 West Garro Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

If you, your organization or business would be interested in sponsoring a family for Christmas contact the Neighborhood Center at 936-3388 to learn about the options available.  There are several ways to sponsor a family both by direct sponsorship and through anonymous sponsorship as well as opportunities for indirect sponsorship through a monetary donation.  For only $30 you can sponsor a family food basket for Thanksgiving and or Christmas. 

Sarah Hendrix, Executive Director of the Neighborhood Center said almost 300 families have signed up for Thanksgiving Food Baskets and they are still in need of monetary donations to cover the cost of food ordered.
