11/16/10 Over 70 freshmen from Culver Community High School were guests for the school’s annual visit to Ancilla College on Thursday.

Students were officially welcomed by Ancilla College President Dr. Ron May before dividing into groups and participating in various sessions.

Groups had a chance to take a tour of Ancilla College, visit the nursing lab, learn more about Ancilla College athletics, participate in a trivia game, and perform a career interest inventory in a session titled “Find Yourself”.

“It was great to be able to host the entire Culver Community High School freshman class to our campus,” said Sarah Lawrence, Assistant Director of Admissions.  “The visit is designed to give students the opportunity to experience a visit to a college campus and participate in different activities geared towards helping them to begin thinking about what educational possibilities are available to them after high school.”

Lawrence stressed that Ancilla College welcomes any school or community group that would like to set up a visit.  Interested parties should contact the Office of Admissions at (574) 936-8898 Ext. 330.

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
