The Ancilla College nursing department and Starke Memorial Hospital will be signing an affiliation agreement on Tuesday, September 14 at the Donaldson-based College at 2:00 p.m. Eastern in Room 231.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ancilla College nursing students will be able to utilize skills learned in the class room “hands on” at Starke Memorial.

“They are going to be able to learn in the facilities in which they hope to work,” said Ann Fitzgerald, Chair of the Division of Nursing and Health Science at Ancilla College.  “Starke Memorial benefits by bringing state-of-the-art nursing care information within the walls of their facility.”

The signing, which is open to the public, will feature several representatives from Ancilla College and Starke Memorial, including Fitzgerald, Dr. Ron May (Ancilla College President), Dr. Joanna Blount (Ancilla College Dean of Academic and Student Services), and Linda Satkoski (CEO, Starke Memorial Hospital).

“We look forward to working with Starke Memorial in a collaborative effort to provide health care services to the community,” said Fitzgerald.

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
