The Lady Chargers fell behind early in the first set at 14-4, but fought back to outscore Goshen 25-13 to come up with a first set victory, on their way to a three set win.
“It was nice to see my girls come from behind and rally for the win,” began Ancilla coach Lana Singleton. “I felt it was a very nice and evenly distributed attack effort and solid defense from several players that contributed to the comeback victory in game one.”
Jordan Hopper led the Lady Charger attack with seven kills. Danielle Burge topped all Ancilla defenders with 18 digs. Erika Combs and Brooke Mathias also finished with double-digit dig totals, compiling 11 and 10 respectively. Demi Schrader assisted on 25 of Ancilla’s 31 kills.
