ROCKIE FOOTBALL PREVIEW vs Rochester:
Plymouth: 1-0 (Last Game: 42-19 WIN vs Bremen)
Rochester: 1-0 (Last Game: 28-7 WIN vs Peru)
Tonight marks the 13th meeting between the Rochester Zebras and Plymouth Rockies. Rockies have a 9-3 series lead over the Zebras for the battle of “Ol Hickory”.
Despite the Rockies putting up 42 points against Bremen in game one, Coach John Barron was not pleased with how the win eventually played out.
“We simply didn’t come out to play in the first half. That has to change. The other thing that has to change is Houston Hodges getting the ball in his hands more! This is a VERY GOOD team I have this year. We need to play like it.”, said Barron.
Rochester Head Coach Mark Miller enters his 30th year as skipper of the Zebras. His program took a heavy hit from graduation last year.
“Leadership will be the key issue for us this season. We have 7 seniors starting Friday and all will be going BOTH WAYS! Not my favorite thing have happen.”, said Miller.
