12/29/10 City Police Officer Jason Dobbins arrested two individuals on Monday, December 27th.
At 7 p.m. Officer Dobbins made contact with 46 year old Gordon King of West Adams Street at his residence. King was taken into custody for a outstanding failure to appears warrant and a new charge of possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held with no bond.
A short time later at 8:03 p.m. Dobbins responded to the local Wal-Mart for a shoplifter who had been detained by the store’s loss prevention staff. 30 year old Preston Lee Smith Jr. of Grovertown was arrested for theft and lodged in the Marshall County Jail. His bond was set at $1,000 cash.
