12/23/10 With the hard economic times the Plymouth Police Department has been kept busy on theft reports.

On Saturday, December 18th at 5:04 PM Plymouth Police Officer Jason Dobbins responded to the Plymouth Wal-Mart in reference to a detained shoplifter. Upon arriving Officer Dobbins arrested 22 year old Jessica M. Boyd of State Road 23 for theft. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in on a $1,000 bond. Boyd was later released on Monday, December 20th for no judicial review.

On Sunday, December 19th at 4:00 PM Officer Dobbins responded again to the Plymouth Wal-Mart in reference to a detained shoplifter.  Arriving there, 42 year old James M. Music of Hammond was arrested for shoplifting.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for theft with a bond set at $1,000.  Mr. Music was later released on Monday, December 20th at 6:55 PM after posting his cash bond.

Later Sunday evening at 8:27 PM Officer Dobbins responded to Scotty’s Hydraulics on Markley Drive for the report of a trespasser.  36 year old Charles Shirley Jr. of Plymouth was found to be trespassing at the location.  He also had an active warrant through Marshall County for court costs and fines in the amount of $165. While Officer Dobbins was taking Shirley into custody he became very irritated and eventually had to be tasered. Shirley was charged with criminal trespassing, resisting law enforcement and his active warrant for court costs and fines.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail with bonds set at $2,000 and $165.
