The Plymouth Police Department is investigating an email scam.
On Tuesday, June 1st at 10:49 a.m. an employee of Umbaugh Financial on Dora Lane received an email advising the person that they had been contacted to kill the recipient if they did not pay money.
At this time it is believed that this is a scam. The Plymouth Police Department is attempting to locate the IP address of the email sender.
Police are asking anyone who has received similar emails to contact the Police Department. 936-2126.
