On Tuesday, September 14th at 3:05 PM Patrolman Rick Kanarr with the Marshall County Sheriffs Department responded to U.S. 30 at Queen Road on a two vehicle accident.

Arriving on the scene Officer Kanarr was advised that both drivers were headed east on U.S 30.  19 year old Devin E. Stachulak of Knox was stopped at the traffic light in a 2009 Chevrolet HHR when he was read ended by a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 driven by 83 year old Robert G. Rosenbaum of LaPorte.  Rosenbaum advised he didn’t realize until it was too late to avoid the collision. No injuries were reported by either driver.

On Wednesday, September 15th at 3:20 PM Sergeant Bruce Carter responded to 5th and Union Road on a two vehicle accident.  Arriving on the scene the driver of the 2001 Chevy S-10, 19 year old Lauren Kipper of Walkerton advised that she’d been eastbound on 5th Road and stopped at the stop sign but could not see because of the corn.  She pulled into the path of a 2004 Pontiac Montana van driven by 35 year old Lisa Rice of Walkerton was heading southbound on Union Road.   Rice advised that she saw Kipper pull into her path but was unable to avoid the collision.
