11/10/10  Encore Performing Arts and Gibson Foundation present the final concert of the 2010 season.  Indiana University’s Singing Hoosiers, under the direction of Mr. Michael Schwartzkopf, will perform at the Plymouth High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 13.  Plymouth High School’s own Crimson Connection will open the evening at 7:00 p.m. followed by the The Singing Hoosiers at 7:30.  Concert tickets are $10 when purchased in advance and $15 at the door for adults.  Kids/Students through grade 12 are free.  Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Life Enrichment Center, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, and WTCA Radio or call the Encore office at 574-935-4987.

Debi Gidley, Encore’s Director, said this is a great time to bring The Singing Hoosiers to Plymouth, as one of its members is PHS’s own Nancy Tyree.  Nancy is the daughter of Dan and Charlotte Tyree and graduated from PHS in 2008.  Over the years, Plymouth High School has had other graduates perform with the group, including Mary Pat Glaub, Director of the Crimson Connection.  Mary Pat has been working with Mr. Schwartzkopf and, in addition to the concert, The Singing Hoosiers will be conducting  a workshop. The Crimson Connection and alumnae of The Singing Hoosiers will join the group in ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’ to close the concert.

In addition, you could be part of a special event before the concert.  You can dine with Singing Hoosier members at your table for just $14/person or $25/couple.  With each dinner ticket purchased, you will provide dinner for a Singing Hoosier!  Dinner will be at 5:00 p.m. at the Red Rock Café in the school and includes a buffet of lasagna and lemon pepper chicken will be featured with all the trimmings.  Call the Encore office at 574-935-4987 for more information.
