12/20/10 The Hoosier Lottery has joined a nationwide initiative to remind parents that Big Jackpot Game tickets and Scratch-offs make great stocking stuffers – for adults.

Lottery tickets are popular gifts and stocking stuffers for many Hoosiers. At times these gifts may find their way into the hands of minors. The Hoosier Lottery is joining the National Council on Problem Gambling in promoting a responsible gaming message this holiday season, reminding parents not to purchase lottery products for those under the age of 18.

“The Hoosier Lottery is vocal in its support of responsible gaming for our players, and that extends to responsible gifting of our game tickets during the holidays,” said Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Kathryn Densborn.

To that end, this initiative is intended to remind parents not to buy Hoosier Lottery products such as Scratch-offs, Big Jackpot Game tickets (Powerball® with Power Play®, Mega Millions® with Megaplier® and Hoosier Lotto) or any other lottery products for those under the age of 18.

The Hoosier Lottery urges all of its players to please play responsibly.
