06/04/10 LaFree Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy is happy to announce the April 1 opening of a new therapy office in Warsaw, according to owner John LaFree, a physical therapist with 15 years of experience.

The locally-owned company SERVING THE PLYMOUTH AREA SINCE 2001 is expanding to fill the increasing need of not only post-injury and/or post-operative sports and orthopedic therapy, but also the field of on-site ergonomic assessment and injury prevention in an occupational setting.

LaFree is the ONLY physical therapy office in this area offering this program.

Workers’ compensation costs can make up more than 50 percent of a business’s budget. Simple exercises that help develop a better range of movement for specific job-related tasks can prevent accidents and save a company from unnecessary expenses.

They have developed individualized pre-shift functional flexibility programs to combat these costs.  The companies that have adopted this program have decreased their recordable injuries by up to 80%.   These activities prepare the employee both physically and mentally for the challenges of their work day.

LaFree divides its functionally based therapy programs – which are designed to simulate normal activities — into three areas:

  • Orthopedic Therapy – post-injury or post-surgery exercises.
  • Sports Medicine Therapy – for sports-specific activities.
  • Workmen’s Compensation – ergonomic assessment and injury prevention/post-injury return to work activities.

A family-owned business, LaFree prides itself on individual relationships with each patient.  LAFREE will continue to accept most insurance plans and use in-house billing and scheduling to better meet the needs of their patients, LaFree said.

“Our goal has always been for patients to return to their maximum functional level. We want everyone to get back to living their normal lives,” LaFree said. “We invite you to LOOK THROUGH our book of satisfied patient testimonials.”
