12/27/10 On Tuesday, December 21st, at approximately 3:00 PM the Bourbon Police Department received an anonymous tip of a strong odor coming from a residence at 303 North Thayer Street in Bourbon.

Bourbon Police Chief William Martin and Assistant Chief Gary Collins responded to the residence and upon arriving detected a strong odor.  Contact was made with Elias Vaca Jr. who consented to a search of the home.  During, the search an active meth lab was located along with chemical reagents used to manufacture methamphetamine.

As a result of this tip the Bourbon Police Department arrested, 32 year old Elias Vaca Jr. of North Thayer Street on possession of methamphetamine, dealing methamphetamine within a 1000 feet of a school or park, possession of chemical reagents, visiting a common nuisance and he was found to have an active warrant out of Marshall County for failure to appear.

Also arrested was 30 year old Angelica Sue Vaca of the North Thayer Street address.  She was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, dealing methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school or park and visiting common nuisance.  Both subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Their bonds were each set at $20,000.
