12/02/10 The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety met in executive session on Monday to interview candidates to fill two full-time paramedic positions that are open at the Plymouth Fire Department.

The board interview four potential candidates.  During a special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety held immediately following the executive session the board conditionally offered employment to Eric Cox and Melissa Belt.

Eric Cox from Plymouth is a certified paramedic and has worked for Superior Ambulance Service in Elmhurst, IL.  When he moved back home he started working for Fulton County EMS.  He has also been a volunteer for the Plymouth Fire Department.

Melissa Belt from LaPaz is a certified paramedic and works at Prompt Ambulance Service in South Bend.  She is a LaPaz volunteer firefighter and a volunteer for the Union North Ambulance Service.
