09/28/10 On Sunday, September 26th at 3:39 p.m. Officer Les McFarland with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area east of Tulip Road, and south of Lincoln Highway in reference to an all terrain vehicle (ATV) traveling up and down the railroad tracks.

Upon arriving to the area the officer observed a black ATV in the area. It then left traveling westbound towards Tulip Road. County Officer Jeff Snyder located the ATV and stopped it.

While in the area where the subjects had been riding Officer McFarland found items associated with the manufacture of crystal methamphetamine.

During the investigation it was found that the ATV had been reported stolen to the DNR on June 30th, 2008 from Monon, Indiana.

24 year old Dale Hite of Plymouth, the driver of the stolen ATV was arrested for dealing and delivering, manufacturing methamphetamine, and an illegal drug lab. Also arrested was the passenger on the ATV, 32 year old Zachary Martin of Plymouth. HE was booked into the Marshall County Jail for dealing and delivering, manufacturing methamphetamine, and an illegal drug lab. Both subjects was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held without bond.
