An email was sent out to parents Monday afternoon to let them know that the power went out at Lincoln Junior High on Monday for approximately 90 minutes. The power went off right after all of the lunches had been prepared.
Funston said, “The kids were great and cooperative.” He continued, “During the outage, students remained in their homeroom classes and we brought them down 3 to 4 classrooms at a time to eat in a dark cafeteria. All students had at least 10 to 15 minutes to eat and then they were sent back to their homerooms so we could bring down another round of classes.”
The issue was a mechanical issue at Lincoln Junior High.
