Pregis takes “Protective Packaging” to a new level with “Warm Up Marshall County” Coat Drive

11/16/10 Pregis Corporation is a leading global provider of innovative protective packaging solutions, and they understand that “protective packaging” might take on a different shape in cold Michiana winters —  that of a warm coat.

That’s why the entire plant pitched in to collect as many gently used coats as possible to donate to the “Warm Up Marshall County” Coat Drive.  Plant Manager Dennis Hughes (left) and Customer Service Manager Don Ecker (right) made a visit to Oliver Ford’s Steve Keiser on Friday, hauling box upon box upon box of coats to contribute in this 12th year of effort.  Kathy Jim and Austin Bottorff from WTCA also delivered a substantial contribution from listeners and friends on Friday.

Several area businesses served as collection points, including WTCA, The Plymouth Pilot and Oliver Ford, with other partners providing products and services.  Price’s Village Valet Cleaners prepares all of the coats prior to distribution, and Kabelin’s Ace Hardware provides gloves to accompany each coat.

The coats will be distributed at the Armory in Plymouth on Saturday, November 20th from 10AM to 1PM and November 21st from 11AM to 1PM.  There are no requirements for proof of need, but because of the demand, there will be a limit on the number of coats to one coat per person present.  So if you have several children in need, please have them in attendance so that a good fit can be guaranteed.

Questions can be directed to the drive’s founder — Steve Keiser — at Oliver Ford, 935-1001.
