11/01/10  On Sunday, October 24th, Riverside Intermediate School was full of baton, girls in pink and full of smiles!  Sixty baton twirlers turned out for the third annual Purdue Twirling Clinic, which was hosted by Daphne’s Dolls.

The Golden Girl, Silver Twins, Girl in Black and Miss Boilerette put on an amazing clinic teaching rolls, body work and challenging new tricks.

About half of the girls attending the clinic are from the Plymouth area and the rest came from all other areas to attend.  Everyone was full of praise and excitement about what our community is able to offer these girls

After the clinic, the Purdue Featured Twirlers entertained the audience with an amazing routine that had the audience very excited.   The twirlers stayed around afterwards to sign autographs and pose for pictures with anyone who wanted to take one.

Thanks to local sponsors and participants entry fees the Purdue Twirlers received a check for over $1000.00 to help them with their travels throughout the year.  One of those trips being the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The event was again a success!   It is one of a kind as the Purdue Twirlers do not do a clinic like this any place else.  Thanks to the sponsor’s generosity, all the twirlers had an amazing day they will never forget.
