05/12/10  Trevor Nelson of West Central High School in Francesville, IN, has signed with the Ancilla College men’s basketball team for the 2010 season.

Nelson, a 6’3” guard, is a two-year letter winner for the Trojans and led coach Bryan Heimlich’s squad in assists, steals, and three-point percentage in 2010.

He was an all-conference selection in the Midwest Conference, averaging six points, three rebounds, and 2.5 steals per contest.  He was also selected as the recipient of West Central’s “Coach’s Award”.

Nelson is the son of Diane and Alvin Hansen and plans to study Elementary Education.

“Trevor is a high energy guy with a great motor,” said Ancilla College men’s basketball coach Steve Helm.  “He’s always moving and working hard on the floor.  He will help us defensively and in a lot of other areas as well.”

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
