Ron Wiremen, Construction Manager from DLZ, the company hired to oversee the Pioneer Drive extension project has announced important road closure information.

 

Immediately following the Labor Day weekend, at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7th the following roads will be closed to through traffic.  

 

Lincoln Highway (Old 30) will be closed between Quince Road and Oak Road.

(Construction area starts approximately 800 Ft. west of Pine Rd. and ends approximately 600 Ft. east of Pine Rd.) 

 

9th Road will be closed between Quince Road and Lincoln Highway.

(The construction area starts approximately 800 Ft. west of Lincoln Hwy. and ends at Lincoln Hwy.)

 

Pine Road will be closed from Lincoln Highway to Jim Neu Drive; this is in front of the County Jail.

(Construction area is located along the east side of Pine Rd. and at Lincoln Hwy.)  

 

Local traffic only will be allowed up to the construction areas. Access will be allowed for visitor traffic for the Marshall County Correctional Facility on Pine Rd. from the north end of the project.

 

This portion of the construction for the Pioneer Drive project is expected to take approximately 60 days to complete provided the weather remains cooperative.
