County Police Investigate Weekend Burglaries & Auto Theft

09/20/11 The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated two burglaries and one stolen vehicle over the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon the Sheriff’s Department received a call from a residence in the 12,000 block of Union Road in Culver in regard to someone entering the a home and removing items.  The incident happened between 5 p.m. on Friday and 3:45 p.m. on Saturday and Officer Matt Brown is investigating.  Apparently unknown persons entered the dwelling and removed numerous tools along with household appliances and electronics. 

The second burglary investigated by Officer Brown happened in the 14,000 block of State Road 10 in Argos.  Sometime between 1:15 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. on Sunday, September 18th an unknown person or persons gained entry into the victim’s residence and removed a 42 inch flat panel HDTV and a Laptop computer.

The final incident was a stolen vehicle.  At 4 a.m. Monday, September 19th the Sheriff’s Department received a call from the 4200 block of U.S. 31 near LaPaz.  The victim reported to Officer Ryan Hollopeter that her vehicle had been stolen.  The vehicle is described as a gray, 1994 Lincoln Town Car with a license plate number of 336DE.  The vehicle was last seen around 12 a.m. on Monday.
