07/27/11 Monday afternoon members of the Marshall County MAD (Multi Agency Drug) Unit assisted the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) with serving an arrest warrant at 223 West Adams Street in Plymouth and five people were arrested.

Entrance was made into apartment #1 of the building after a woman seen entering the apartment that had an active federal arrest warrant.  The residential building is located just one block north of the Plymouth Police Department.

Federal, State and local police officers conducted a subsequent search of the apartment that yielded items used for the manufacturing and use of methamphetamine.  Officer also located a working one pot methamphetamine lab within the apartment.

Arrested was 28 year old Nicole Garcia who was housed in the St. Joseph County Jail.  Also arrested was 51 year old Jill McCarty who lives at the address.  She was booked into the Marshall County Jail for possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance one or more times.  Her bond was set at $1,000.  Police charged 47 year old Donna Carpenter of Argos with visiting a common nuisance with a $1,000 bond and she had a failure to appear warrant with a bond of $21,000.  41 year old Jeffrey Masterson of Warsaw was booked into the Marshall County Jail for visiting a common nuisance with a $1,000 bond and he had a civil contempt warrant with a $30,000 bond.  Alex Pranger, 39 year old from Plymouth was charged for dealing/delivering/manufacturing meth, and illegal drug lab, and possession of paraphernalia.  He was held with no bond.  He is also being held for 2 failure to appear warrants.
