06/03/11  Indiana State Police are not saying too much about the drug bust on Redwood Road Thursday afternoon.    About noon on Thursday an officer from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department identified a person at a residence on Redwood Road who had an active warrant out for his arrest.  Prior to serving the warrant the officer called for assistance and Marshall County Police and Indiana State Police responded to the area.  The suspect left the area prior to being serving the warrant.

Officers located 5 other people at the Redwood Road duplex.  There were items associated with the manufacturing of meth, thus a search warrant was sought and received.  One of the individuals being detained by police also had a warrant out for his arrest and police obtained a search warrant for the duplex where he lives across the street from Armory on Madison Street.

Officer located meth labs at both locations and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Team was called to remove the substances.

A child was located at the Redwood Road location and the Department of Family Services was called to assist.

It is anticipated that the Indiana State Police will be releasing more information on Friday as the investigation is continuing.  ISP officers were at the Redwood Road address until after 10 p.m. on Thursday and then moved to the Madison Street address to continue their investigation.
