01/18/11 The Bremen Conservation Club is gearing up for the 8^th Annual Raffle and Ice Fishing Derby supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Bremen. 

The fun begins at 5 a.m. on Saturday, January 29^th with ice fishing from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Fishing derby prizes for adults are $200 for 1^St place, $125 for 2^nd place, $100 for 3^rd place, $50 for 4^th place, an $25 for 5^th place.  Placement is calculated by the total length of all legal fish caught. 

This year there is a big push to get youth involved in the event.  There is a $25 award to the single longest youth fish caught and prizes for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place. 

At 4 p.m. at the Community Building there will be a raffle drawing with 1^st prize getting $250, 2^nd $150 and 3^rd place $100. There will be door prizes every hours and food served all day long to all. Fisherman, families, and non-fisherman are welcome.

Registration for the 8^th Annual Raffle and Ice Fishing Derby at Lake of the Woods is from 5 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 29^th.  There is a $10 donation for raffle and fishing.  For advance tickets or more information contact Lance Gould (574-360-9091) or Lowell Michaels (546-5802).
