According to head coach Lana Singleton, the Lady Chargers (10-15, 1-9 MCCAA Western) struggled to earn crucial points in the final two sets, sending them to their ninth conference loss of the season.
“We lost a tough one,” said Singleton. “We had some calls that didn’t go our way in crucial points. We provided a balanced attack and did a good job on defense. The girls have to mentally hang tough and finish games.”
Danielle Burge posted 27 digs while Miranda Hammons posted 10 kills and 20 digs for Ancilla.
Haley Markley led the team with 13 kills while Carlee Davis added 10 of her own. Kristen Trudell finished with 39 assists and 11 digs and Kelly Duke added 18 digs, six kills, and six assists.
