Ancilla College Baseball Head Coach, Joe Yonto was absolutely amazed at the amount of damage the state of Alabama suffered from the string of tornados that occured last week. He knew that there was something he could do, get his baseball team involved.
“I was absolutely shocked at the devastation that took place. My heart cried out for those families that lost everything, even family members because of those storms. I felt compelled to help. So we are asking anyone in Marshall County to help us (Ancilla baseball) gather food, clothing or hygiene items for the remainder of this week. Some players and myself will be heading down to a town that was ravaged by the storms. We plan to drop off these items to the Red Cross to be delivered to the proper families who lost everything.”, said Coach Yonto.
You can help this Tornado Relief effort by dropping off non-parishable food items, clothing like socks or shirts, or anything you think the families in need could use. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
