Argos Emergency Department Present Annual Reports

01/31/11  The Argos Town Council were told of the 2010 totals for the Emergency Services.  Fire Chief, Mark Dean, reported the Fire Department went on 26 accident & rescue calls, 11 grass fires, and 9 structure fires.  There were 19 false alarm calls.  Thirty two calls were to Green Township, 16 calls to Walnut Township,  and 41 calls for Argos.  The Department assisted Rochester twice.  This brings the total runs for the Fire Department to 91 for 2010.

Richie Miller, Director of the Argos Ambulance Department was next.  The EMT’s had a total of 273 runs for 2010.  There was a need of 51 paramedic assisted runs.  The Argos EMT’s will transport either to Plymouth or Rochester and will meet up with the paramedics in route if there is a need for there assistance.

Police Chief, Rod Rudd, reported the stats for 2010.  There were 725 traffic warnings, 218 dispatches for 911, and 287 times the department assisted other departments.   There 397 code enforcements and 145 traffic ordinances handled.  The total patrol miles for 2010 was 32,630.
