12/26/11  The Argos School Board was updated on the energy conservation efforts for the school building.  Brad Carter, Maintenance Director, told the Board, rooms 306 and 503A are finished with the installation of new HVAC equipment and the kindergarten rooms will be worked during the Christmas Break.  Carter said there are 25 rooms that may require additional masonry work.  Carter said all 58 rooms of the school should be completed before school starts next summer.

Carter also told the Board the utility bill dropped $200 with the conversion to the new lights.  The old light bulbs were given to local churches for their use and the ballasts were sold for $550.  Argos Schools also received rebates of $5,030 and $3,424 with the installation of new equipment.

There will be a 2 hour delay January 27th.  Apex Holding Company, who monitors the wellness check for the employees, asked for the time to provided blood tests for all who qualify.  In previous years this was done on the last day of school.  Apex asked for the earlier date so they may be able to council the employees on health maintenance.
