02/08/11 Congratulations to the Argos Jr. High and Sr. High School Vocal students who were very successful at ISSMA Solo and Ensemble contest this past Saturday at North Miami.
Argos entered 23 events and brought home 21 gold ratings and 2 silver ratings. The four soloists who advanced to State competition on Feb. 26th are:
Cara Kaszas, Zack Smith, Zach West, and Tony Hutchinson. Also 2 ensembles will be going to State…the boys barbershop quartet which included Ricky Rice, Zack Smith, Zach West, and Tony Hutchinson and a large ensemble also advanced. Large ensemble members who will advance to state are: Cara Kaszas, Emma Nellans, Kayla Hendricks, Sam Blum, Libby Moyer, Latisha Shepherd, Sabrina Brown, Kirsten Ringer, Courtney Ringer, Sammie Hopkins, Madi Williams, Kayla Sliter, Jennifer Sullivan, Austin Saenz, Tony Hutchinson, Zach West, Zack Smith, Ricky Rice, Elmer Roque, and Dominic Cataldo.
Music Director, Sandy Burroughs said, “I was extremely proud of these kids who missed 3 rehearsals due to the snow last week and still had prepared well enough in advance to score well.”
