The Young Hoosier Book Award is sponsored by the Indiana Library Federation’s Association of Indiana of School Librarians. The books are organized by grade levels comprised of a 20-book list for grades K-3, grades 4-6 and grades 6-8. Voting occurs throughout the state and the winning authors are presented with a Young Hoosier plaque at the organization’s annual conference. Students must read at least 5 of the listed books to be eligible to vote.
The winning Argos students read all 20 books on the 4-6 list and 2 of the 7 read all 20 books on the 4-6 list and the 6-8 list.

These winners were treated to a trip to Barnes and Noble to select a book for themselves and to help select books for the Argos School Library, lunch at CiCi’s Pizza and a book-related movie. These prizes were provided by the Argos PEP Club.
