10/28/11 Beacon Credit Union would like to announce the winners of the charitable giving promotion Project Spotlight. Beacon is donating a total of $1,750 in each of the 11 counties in Northeastern Indiana where Beacon branches are located, bringing the grand total in charitable donations made by the credit union to $19,250.

In Marshall County, the first place winner of a $1000 donation from Beacon Credit Union is Marshall County Neighborhood Center. The second place winner of a $500 donation is United Way of Marshall County and the third place winner of a $250 donation is Saint Joseph Health Center.

Project Spotlight was created with the hope that our membership would be inspired to reach out and direct their credit union to serve those living and working around them. Residents in Marshall County were asked to submit local charitable organizations and community projects in the area, community members were then asked to vote both online and in Beacon Credit Union branches for their favorite cause.

Beacon Credit Union is proud to be a part of Marshall County and is enthusiastic about joining together with other organizations that are committed to bettering the community.  For the past 80 years Beacon Credit Union has been dedicated to a “members first” philosophy and being accountable to the communities it serves.
