01/24/11  Are you ready for something different?  How about a little Snoccer?  Newton Park is organizing a snow soccer tournament to help benefit Eric Saunders.

Sanders was seriously injured in a motocross accident last year that left him paralyzed from the chest down.  Proceeds from this event will do to his recovery fund.

The I Can, I Will Snoccer Tournament will be held on Saturday, February 26th beginning at 9 a.m.  There will be two divisions: one for grades 6, 7 and 8, and the other for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12th.  This will be a three on three tourney with a maximum of five players per team.  Three games are guaranteed.

Registration for each team is $100.  Registration is now underway.  Each team member must have a parent or guardian sign the participation and release forms to be eligible to play and each player must also present a copy of their school ID or birth certificates on tourney day.

Newton Park’s 1st Annual I Can, I Will Snoccer Tournament will have first and second place winner’s award in each division.

Concessions will be available along with event T-shirts.

Another fundraiser for Eric Sander will be held in March, the Oval Track Racing Seminar on Saturday, March 26th.  Get a lap ahead of your competitors this 2011 racing season.  Learn from some of the best inthe Midwest.  The seminar will include Chassis by Bobby Blount, Andy Bozell, Ray Dillon, Denny Nyari, and Brian Ross.  Shocks by Cory Fillip from Advanced Suspension, Tires by Irish Saunders from Hoosier Racing Tires, Motors by Bill Delze from Indy Enging Group and Jim Mikel from Performance Technology.  Also included in the seminar is Fuel by Kevin Majewski from Dragon Racing Fuels, and Racing Tech by Mike (Lumpy) Lemke ASA Midwest Tour Tech Director and Ed Chew Champion Racing Association Chief Tech Director.
