01/24/11  Are you ready for something different?  How about a little Snoccer?  Newton Park is organizing a snow soccer tournament to help benefit Eric Saunders.

Sanders was seriously injured in a motocross accident last year that left him paralyzed from the chest down.  Proceeds from this event will do to his recovery fund.

The I Can, I Will Snoccer Tournament will be held on Saturday, February 26th beginning at 9 a.m.  There will be two divisions: one for grades 6, 7 and 8, and the other for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12th.  This will be a three on three tourney with a maximum of five players per team.  Three games are guaranteed.

Registration for each team is $100.  Registration is now underway.  Each team member must have a parent or guardian sign the participation and release forms to be eligible to play and each player must also present a copy of their school ID or birth certificates on tourney day.

Newton Park’s 1st Annual I Can, I Will Snoccer Tournament will have first and second place winner’s award in each division.

Concessions will be available along with event T-shirts.
