11/01/12 The community is invited to attend the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Community Resource Center this weekend.

The Community Resource Center is a new facility built to house the social service agencies of Marshall County.  Located on the former site of the Fulton Marshall Co-op this facility was the brain child of the late Dr. Kent Guild and Rev. Dr. Ron Liechty. During coffee one morning more than 25 years ago the two of them came up with the idea of a one stop location for folks in Marshall County needing assistance.  They, along with others were concerned with making things better for the citizens in the community.

The Resource Center became reality with the creation of the T-Squared Initiative, a group of fore thinkers who saw and need and set a goal.  They were able to reach that goal with a low interest federal loan and a grant of a quarter of a million dollars from the Marshall County Community Foundation to purchase the property and demolish the former co-op structure.

The Community Resource Center is located at 510 West Adams Street and the dedication will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 4th.  Everyone is invited to come and tour this wonderful facility.
