07/21/11 Members of the Marshall County Church Orchestra gathered at Miller’s Senior Living Community on Saturday, July 16 where they held a carport sale to help raise funds for purchasing music for the orchestra.   They arrived bright and early at sat the tables up under the carport.  They then used their time to arrange the donated items on the tables ready for the sale that began at 9:00 a.m.  The group also sold hot dogs and pop and popcorn to supplement the income.

The M.C.C. O. is an all volunteer organization.  Their biggest expense is purchasing music.  They would like to express their thanks to Miller’s for allowing the orchestra to use their facility for the carport sale.  The orchestra also expresses their thanks to all who willingly donated sale items.  You may hear the orchestra Sunday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacoby Church on King Road.  Their next Concert in the Park series will be Sunday, August 14 at the Argos Community Park at 6:00 p.m.  Bring your lawn chair.  Concessions will be available for purchase.
