City Fireworks Ordinance
07/01/11 Mayor Mark Senter would like to remind everyone of the City Ordinance regarding the discharge of fireworks and firearms within the City Limits.
In December 2007 the City Council passed an ordinance which restricts the sale of fireworks to patrons under
the age of 18. It also restricts a person under the age of 18 from possessing fireworks without an adult being present.
City Ordinance states that fireworks shall exclusively be used on the user’s property or the property of someone who has consented to the use of fireworks on the property. It also allows fireworks to be discharged between the hours of 5 p.m. and 2 hours after sunset from June 29th till July 9th. On July 4th citizens can celebrate the holiday between 10 a.m. and midnight.
