02/23/11 Plymouth Police Department Investigator Ted Brown is investigating a near fatal drowning.
Sunday evening at 7:52 the Plymouth Police Department and Plymouth EMS were dispatched to a residence in the 2,000 block of North Michigan Street for a 15 month old child who wasn’t breathing.
Arriving at the scene, emergency responders found that CPR was already in progress. The child was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth and then transported to a South Bend Hospital.
According to a witness at the scene, the child was left alone for less than 15 seconds. The child was found face down in the water in the bath tub.
