After another close Saturday evening performance, the 5-4 win was somewhat marred by chippy play and almost 20 minutes-worth of penalties. Sunday’s game remained physical but the outcome more suffice for the Eagles Coach Al Clark. His CMA squad beat the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets 6-3.
“For the second game in a row we fell behind 1-0 after the first period. The difference was that we played very well in the opening period of this one.” , said Clark. “We had a number of quality scoring chances but could not capitalize.”
Ohio started the scoring in the second period to give them the early lead 2-1.
CMA took advantage of a couple of power plays down the stretch opened up a 4-2 lead. Controlled the third period by getting a couple of more goals to finish the win.
CMA’s Ryan berry had a goal and two assists to go along with his 3 assists in game one giving him 6 points for the weekend.
