12/05/11 The Marshall County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at 8:30 on the Travel Advisory Ordinance.  The amendments will make the ordinance compatible with the state’s ordinance although the local ordinance will provide a penalty for violators.

Clyde Avery, the Marshall County Emergency Management Director will give his monthly report and Neal Haeck of the County Highway Department will update the commissioners of the activity in his department.  Jeff Million from DLZ will present a change order for bridge 89, the 13th Road bridge replacement project over the Yellow River.

Also on the agenda is the County Attorney’s Report and Auditor’s Report.  Under Commissioner’s items is the appointment of David Bacon to the Convention & Visitors Bureau, Dave Vories to the Plan Commission and Foster Davenport to the Board of Zoning Appeals.

At 10 a.m. the Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on an ordinance to enact new fees for the Health Department.

The Commissioners will recess until 11 a.m. have scheduled an executive session and then they will reconvene at 1 p.m. to open highway bids.

The Commissioner’s meeting is open to the public for comments and questions although the executive session is not open to the public.
