02/08/11  Congressman Joe Donnelly recently nominated 17 area students to receive admission into the United States Service academies for the class of 2015.  Donnelly based his nominations on outstanding academic achievement, leadership skills, and commitment to a career in the Armed Forces.                                                

  • Megan Barron of Plymouth, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis. She attends Plymouth High School.
  • Bobby Bartels of South Bend, nominated to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends La Lumiere School.
  • Chance Blankenship of Winamac, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis and the Military Academy at West Point. He attends Winamac High School.
  • Andrea Canacci of Culver, nominated to the Military Academy at West Point and the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.  She attends the Culver Academies.
  • Neil Danner of Granger, nominated to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends St. Joseph’s High School.
  • Robert Fontenot of South Bend, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis and the Military Academy at West Point. He is a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School and attends Greystone Preparatory School at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.
  • Matthew Lane of Walton, nominated to the Military Academy at West Point and the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. He attends Lewis Cass Junior Senior High School.
  • Luke Meyer of South Bend, nominated to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends John Adams High School.
  • Sean Neese of Granger, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends St. Joseph’s High School.
  • Eddie Pingel of South Bend, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis. He attends Trinity School at Greenlawn.
  • Michael Richline of Goshen, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis. He attends Concord High School.
  • Dustin Rivich of Michigan City, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends Michigan City High School.
  • Cody Strange of Walkerton, nominated to the Military Academy at West Point and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends John Glenn High School.
  • Luke Sullivan of South Bend, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis. He attends Clay High School.
  • Nathan Turner of La Porte, nominated to the Naval Academy at Annapolis and the Military Academy at West Point. He attends the Culver Academies.
  • Evan Weld of Elkhart, nominated to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He attends Desert High School in Edwards, California where his family is currently stationed.
  • James Whippo of Lakeville, nominated to Naval Academy at Annapolis, the Military Academy at West Point, and the Merchant Marines Academy at Kings Point.  He attends the Culver Academies.
