01/31/11 Indiana Conservation Officers Nathan Hooley (L) from Kosciusko County and Dustin Whitehead (R) from Elkhart County help Conservation Officer diver Jon Engle of Wabash onto the ice after a practice ice dive Thursday on Lake Wawasee.  In addition to Engle, 3 other conservation officer divers braved the 20 degree air and 34 degree water temperatures.  Dives such as this one allow divers to check out their equipment and to keep familiar with the difficulties involved in ice diving.  Indiana Conservation Officers provided the additional support that is needed when diving under such dangerous conditions.
