05/16/11 Monday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. the Marshall County Drainage Board will meet in the second floor meeting room of the County Building followed by the County Commissioners meeting at 9:30.

The only item on the drainage board agenda is Derek Jones and Don Allison on the Morris Ditch.

The Commissioners have a full agenda including Paul Dockery from NextEra Energy Resources on a wind facility.  At 9:45 a public hearing will be held on an amendment to the County’s Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) ordinance. At 10:00 another public hearing will be held to amend the County’s zoning ordinance as it pertains to Telecommunication Facility Standards.

Wes Burden, head of the County Health Department will update the commissioners on the status of renovations to the front office.  The commissioners tabled any decision on his request to allow them time to visit the Health Department and visually see the plans.

Jeff Million from DLZ will update the commissioner on Bridge 89, the 13th Road Bridge over the Yellow River and Neal Haeck from the County Highway Department will report on activities in his department.

Also on the agenda is the County Attorney’s Report, Auditor’s Report, Commissioner’s items where an appointment to the Plymouth Library Board is expected to be made and Public Comments.

The Commissioner’s meeting is open to the public for comments and questions.
