02/21/11 The Marshall County Drainage Board and County Commissioners will meet Monday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. The meetings are open to the public and will be held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

The Drainage Board will review the 2010 Drainage Maintenance General Drain Ledger and consider the 2011 Drainage Maintenance Collections.

A public hearing is scheduled at 8:45 on the Mentzel Drain and Van Janocic from Territorial Engineering will be on hand to discuss a project in Bourbon.

The Commissioners meeting is scheduled to start at 9:30.  The first order of business in a public hearing on an amendment to the County’s zoning ordinance as it pertains to signs.  Deb Griewank from the Plan Commission and Don Ecker from the Board of Zoning Appeals will make their recommendations to the commissioners on their suggestion of making the Planning Directors position part time.

Also on the Commissioner’s agenda is the request of Sheriff Tom Chamberlin to set some claims as pre-pay, the Highway Department report, an update on the 13th Road bridge replacement, County attorney’s report and Auditor’s report.
