08-31-11 On Thursday, August 25th at 7:50 P.M. Patrolman Matt Brown with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint of an auto theft that occurred in the 5,000 block of Redwood Road.  The caller advised that sometime between 10:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 24th and 8:00 A.M. Thursday, August 25th an unknown subject removed a white 1991 Chevrolet Cheyenne pick-up truck. The truck has no license plates, a small “Browning sticker” in the rear window of the driver’s side. The truck has rust on the cab corners and wheel wells and driver’s side front end damage. There was also a go cart with no motor in the bed of the truck at the time of the theft.

On Friday, August 26th at 12:50 PM Patrolman Rob Hafke received a theft complaint from a residence at the 15,000 block of 18th road. The caller advised that between the night hours of Thursday, August 25th and Friday, August 26th an unknown subject or subjects stole a 6 volt tractor battery, old car radiators, two 12 inch crescent wrenches and an old metal tub.

On Tuesday, August 28th at 12:06 AM Patrolman Nick Laffoon was conducting patrol for operation pullover on US 30 near State Road 17 near Plymouth.  During this time he observed a vehicle with an equipment violation that was driven by 41 year old Karen L. Gibbons of Bourbon. During the investigation it was found that she had been consuming alcohol prior to the traffic stop and was transporting a minor.  Mrs. Gibbons was transported to the Marshall County Jail for operating while intoxicated and endangering a person under the age of 18.  She was booked on a $1,000 bond.
