08-26-11 On Saturday, August 20th at 2:50 A.M. Patrolman Brandon Cooper with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted his routine patrol in the Culver area and observed a maroon Ford truck fail to signal before turning at South Main Street and Ohio Street. Patrolman Cooper conducted a traffic stop on 48 year old David G. Blalock of Winamac that was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he refused to submit to a chemical test. Mr. Blalock was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and booked on a $1,000 bond.

On Tuesday, August 23rd at 9:29 AM Patrolman Cooper received a theft complaint from a home owner in the 10,000 block of Muckshaw Road. The caller advised that sometime between 8:30 PM on Monday, August 22 and 6:30 AM on Tuesday, August 23rd subjects entered an unlocked minivan located in the front yard and stole various items.
