10/11/11 On Wednesday, October 5th around 2:00 p.m. the Marshall County Police Department received a call stating that an unknown person came onto the victim’s property located in the 12,000 block of US 6 and removed an air conditioning coil and damaged a door while trying to gain entry. Later that evening on October 5th, Patrolman Matt Brown investigated a hit and run accident at the intersection of Michigan Road and Diamond Drive at 8:07 p.m. A 9-1-1 call was received nd the caller said the vehicle that had left the scene was a white mini-wan, possibly a Chevy Astro Van, and would now have heavy damage to the front passenger side. The van involved was located around the area of 12B Road east of US 31; however before officers arrived the vehicle had left the area. No injuries were reported from the crash. In the early morning of Friday, October 7th at 7:02 a.m. Gerald Keifer 82, of Bremen was driving his 2007 Chrysler Town and Country, traveling south on Elm Road north of 9B Road when a deer ran into the roadway. Keifer was unable to avoid the collision with the deer.
On Friday, October 7th at 1:52 p.m. a resident in the 5,000 block of Michigan Road reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. an unknown person(s) had kicked in the back door and stole a hand gun, shot gun, and a 42” TV and an X-Box game.
