10/11/11   On Wednesday, October 5th around 2:00 p.m. the Marshall County Police Department received a call stating that an unknown person came onto the victim’s property located in the 12,000 block of US 6 and removed an air conditioning coil and damaged a door while trying to gain entry.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marshall County Police Department at 574-936-3187. 

Later that evening on October 5th, Patrolman Matt Brown investigated a hit and run accident at the intersection of Michigan Road and Diamond Drive at 8:07 p.m.  A 9-1-1 call was received nd the caller said the vehicle that had left the scene was a white mini-wan, possibly a Chevy Astro Van, and would now have heavy damage to the front passenger side.  The van involved was located around the area of 12B Road east of US 31; however before officers arrived the vehicle had left the area.  No injuries were reported from the crash.  Anyone with information is asked to please contact Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 574-936-3187. 

In the early morning of Friday, October 7th at 7:02 a.m. Gerald Keifer 82, of Bremen was driving his 2007 Chrysler Town and Country, traveling south on Elm Road north of 9B Road when a deer ran into the roadway.  Keifer was unable to avoid the collision with the deer. 

On Friday, October 7th at 1:52 p.m. a resident in the 5,000 block of Michigan Road reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. an unknown person(s) had kicked in the back door and stole a hand gun, shot gun, and a 42” TV and an X-Box game.  Anyone with information, please contact Marshall County Police Department at 574-936-3187.
