12/13/11 On Friday, December 9th at 8:25 a.m. Patrolman Nicholas Laffoon with the Marshall County Police Department responded to the intersection of State Road 17 and 14B Roads in reference to a one vehicle accident.  His investigation revealed that that driver,18 year old  Zachary D. Dietl of Plymouth was traveling westbound on 14B Road approaching SR 17 when he lost control of his 1997 GMC Sonoma on the snow covered roadway and struck a fence on the south side of the road.  Patrolman Laffoon stated that at the time of the incident the road conditions were snow covered slick and hazardous. 

On Sunday, December 11th at approximately 4:00 a.m. Patrolman Brandon Cooper was on routine patrol near Lake of the Woods when he witnessed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit.  When Officer Cooper conducted the traffic stop on the vehicle the driver, Justin L. Keyser 20, of Bremen was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person.  Keyser was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for a certified chemical test, and then was transported to Marshall County Jail and booked in for not only operating the vehicle while intoxicated but also operating a vehicle with a controlled substance.  His bond was set at $1,000.00 cash and is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on December 27th at 8:30am.
