07/18/11 On Wednesday, July 13th at 10:00 a.m. Patrolman Brandon Cooper was southbound on US 31 in LaPaz when he noticed a vehicle driving erratically.  Cooper followed the vehicle and witnessed other driving infractions and stopped the vehicle on 1B Road just east of Maple Road.  During the investigation it was determined that the driver, Ronald Haas 61, of Plymouth was intoxicated.  Mr. Haas failed a field sobriety and a portable breath test, and was transported to the Marshall County Jail for a certified Chemical Test.  With assistance of Plymouth Police Officer Paul Stamper , Mr. Haas was tested at .08% and was arrested for operating while intoxicated-Endangering a Person.  An August 2nd court date was scheduled in Marshall County Superior Court #2 at 8:30 .am.

On Wednesday July 13th at 5:18 p.m. Marshall County Police Department Dispatched Patrolman Brown to a residence in the 4000 Block of Rose Road in reference to a possible theft case.  It was determined that between the morning hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. an unknown person (s) entered the victim’s utility shed and removed an orange Husqvarna riding lawn mower with a 54” deck, a black Agri-Fab Utility cart, a green Weedeater brand grass trimmer and numerous other tools.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marshall County Police department at 574-936-3187.

Then on Thursday, July 14th at 9:12 a.m. Patrolman Les McFarland made a traffic stop in the area of US 31 and 9A Road.  During his investigation it was found that Camikia Y. Ollis, 39 of Three Rivers, Michigan was driving on a suspended license.   Ollis was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Driving While Suspended with a Prior, a class A misdemeanor.  There was a $750.00 cash bond that was paid on the same date at 9:10 p.m. and Ollis was released with a scheduled court appearance on August 9th in Marshall County Superior Court #2 at 8:30am.
