05/16/11 Jeff Sharp, an officer with the Marshall County Police Department investigated a single vehicle crash on US 31 Thursday morning at 7:40.
A 1997 Dodge Caravan driven by 42 year old Steven Taylor of Hawthorn Road in Plymouth was traveling south on US 31 in the far right lane. He told Officer Sharp that he apparently fell asleep and ran off the right side shoulder and traveled approximately 200 feet in a ditch, striking a state high sign before coming to rest in the ditch facing south.
Taylor was not injured in the crash. His van sustained damages to the front passenger side and undercarriage. His vehicle was towed by Lyons Wrecker Service.
